  • We work in collaboration with a local transport company to get your sauna from our shop to your backyard with minimal cost. In most cases, we can get it fully set with their equipment, however some applications may require a crane which is an additional cost.

  • There are many factors to consider when deciding your heat source. Our saunas are well insulated to lower the heat up times and running costs. Generally, an electric heater will heat up faster than a wood-fired heater. Electric heaters can also be controlled by your phone via an app, which adds a lot of convenience for those with limited time.

Wood fired stoves are the traditional heat source and have been central to sauna culture for hundreds of years. The primal process of sourcing wood, splitting, and tending to your fire is a great way to slow down the fast paced world we reside in. Wood fired stoves require no power source, so they make great ‘off grid’ saunas, which can add an adventurous aspect to your sauna experience.

  • We craft every sauna with the same quality of build, so the cost depends on the size and design. The Valhalla 5 & 8 start at $30k and $35k respectively.

  • Yes. All our saunas are designed to be moved as many times as needed and we would be happy to assist with the relocation.

  • We insulate every sauna completely (floor, walls, and ceiling) because here in Montana, winter can last 8 months. Having a fully insulated structure reduces heat up times, keeps the heat longer, and lowers the workload of your heater, therefore adding life to the heater.

  • The foundation specification depends on the size and footprint of the sauna.

We send through a detailed ground preparation and services plan outlining the foundation specification and any services needed (electric feed etc) during initial inspection of site.

  • Yes, we can design a sauna together from scratch. Our bespoke service gives you the freedom to create the sauna experience you’ve dreamed of while offering guidance and inspiration from our team. Additional cost is added for the design service.

  • Our saunas are handbuilt with the highest quality materials by skilled local craftspeople. They are also specifically designed to withstand the weather of Montana, integrating the best construction practices to ensure longevity. Barrel and kit saunas typically have little to no insulation, unfinished wood, and a structure not designed to last. Our saunas feature the best materials and tech available to ensure an exceptional sauna experience for many decades to come. We could go on and on, so if you have further questions, please reach out.

  • A lot. Infrared ‘saunas’ have exploded in popularity in recent years, claiming to have the same effects as traditional sauna. Unfortunately, nearly all of the relevant research and studies have been associated with Finnish style saunas in temperatures between 175-210F. Infrared saunas typically top out between 140-150F, so that’s the biggest difference, it’s just not hot enough. Then there’s the materials used. Most infrared saunas come in kits shipped from Asia at a very low price tag. With that comes higher likelihood of the use of toxic finishes and adhesives plus the added impact on the environment just from shipping it across the world. Like the wise man says, “you get what you pay for.”
